It's just that the volume controls on my Mac can't be used. I have to adjust the volume using the Monitor knob on the Scarlett. After many years with an M-Audio interface and being able to use my Mac's volume controls normally I didn't expect this which is why I thought it wasn't working at all. It recognizes both my Audiolab Q-DAC and Centrance DACport HD but it says The selected device has no output controls. I can only use the internal speakers or headphone input. Hi!

Yesterday I installed Windows 10 Pro 64 bit but the audio never worked. The motherboard is AS-ROCK G41M-S3.

The audio icon has a red X and says 'No audio output device installed'.

In Device Manager I have no audio device listed and no yellow triangle. The only audio device is under 'System device' where I have 'High definition audio controller'.

In the BIOS hd-audio is enabled.

The last audio driver from asrock is Realtek R2.31 for win 7 but after installation the problem remains still the same.

I tried also installing the last Realtek driver R2.79 but with no luck.

In Event Viewer I have this error:

What can I do? Can the problem be that the chipset drivers are too old and so the Realtek HD audio device is not found? I can't find chipset newer driver... :( Thank you

I am banging my head against the wall with this one. I run a powermac using the latest Yosemite 10 but I can't properly interface my firestudio as the software simply crashes. I can only monitor in mono. If I plug in my headphones direct to the mac I get wonderful stereo. I have had nothing but trouble with the presonus since I got it. Studio One 2 wont run on this computer either So I went Logic Pro instead. That works fine.
Is there a compatability problem with Universal Control and Apple or Yosemite?? It's driving me nuts
Thank you
